8u 2027

Register here for players that were 7 or 8 years old on August 31, 2026. 6 year old players (age on August 31, 2026) who wish to try-out for this division must register for the 6u division, answer "yes" on the player registration form, when asked, "if you are age eligible, do you wish to try out for an older division?" and MUST attend an 8u evaluation during the first week in January. The Evaluation Day Schedule will be posted on our website mantecayouthsoftball.com and emailed to all registered players. Teams will be drafted by 8u division coaches in mid January. If a 6 year old is not drafted to an 8u team, she will be placed on a 6u team. Practices may begin on or after February 1, 2027. Games will begin on March 1, 2027 and the season will close in mid May. Questions may be emailed to mantecayouthsoftballinfo.com

The MYSA 8u Division:

The 8u division will hold player evaluations in January. Teams will be drafted by division coaches. Players can no longer request a specific coach, or to play with another player.

The 8u division will be coach pitch for the first half of the season, and player/coach pitch for the second half of the season.

The 8u Division is open to girls, aged 7 or 8, born between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2019.

6 year old players (age on August 31, 2026) who wish to be considered for the 8u division, must register for the 6u division, answer "yes" on the player registration application form, when asked, "if you are age eligible, do you wish to try out for an older division?" and attend an 8u evaluation in January.  An Evaluation Day schedule will be emailed to all registered players.  If a 6 year old player is evaluated for the 8u division, and is not drafted to an 8u team, she will be placed on a 6u team.  If a 6 year old player is drafted to an 8u team, the player/parent will be billed for the difference in the registration fee for the higher division.   


EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT:  All players who register and pay in full on or before September 30, 2026, may apply a $20.00 discount to their registration fee.  To receive the discount, enter "EARLY2027" in the "Registration Discount" Box on the "Review and Confirm" page, then click "Apply".  Registrations paid on or after October 1, 2026 will not be eligible to receive this discount.  

SIBLING DISCOUNT:  A sibling discount of $5.00 off the registration fee is available for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th players from the same household.  Example:  If three family members are registered, you will receive a total of $10.00 off your total 2027 Registration Fees.  This discount is automatically applied when multiple players from the same household are registered.  

Players in the 8u Division will receive a team jersey, matching socks and softball pants.  Please indicate your jersey and pant sizes on the registration application.

Games will be played at the Big League Sports Complex at 5:30pm.  Teams will play 1 or 2 games per week.  Games will only be played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings.
